Edmund Wilson

Chartered MCSI, APFS

My service is all about you. What are your hopes, dreams, fears and goals? I provide an extremely client-centric offering with you at the heart of my advice. I love building trusted relationships with my clients so that I can help them to navigate life’s challenges. This involves an open and honest long term relationship; that’s what I seek to develop with my clients.

About

My job is all about helping you to live the life that you want to lead. We’ll work extremely closely together to identify your goals, your aspirations and indeed, your risks. Do you need save or invest more? Have you reached financial freedom? Would you like to be financially free? All of these things are areas that we will discuss as we build our long term relationship.

I was a client of St. James's Place for over 20 years whilst I was serving in the Army. My ethos of “look after the client and my business will look after itself” has you at the core of everything. As a Chartered Financial Planner, I have real expertise and my code of ethics means that I have to have your best interests at the forefront of my mind at all times. I provide a flexible and personal service that is bespoke to you. I will always try to use simple language; your finances may appear complex but I will seek to bring clarity and transparency to your future life.

I’m aided by a great team. Michael Weeden is an excellent adviser to many of my clients, whilst Graham looks after technical work and Gill keeps us all in line administratively. This team is what helps to provide a bespoke service to you.

I am a committed supporter of the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation. It’s a brilliant organisation that has helped hundreds of thousands of people through the years. I believe deeply in helping those who are less fortunate, and I love the work that the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation supports. I have helped to gain grants for a wide variety of charities and those grants, no matter how big or small, make a real difference to peoples’ lives. This is truly about being a great citizen, and helping others who often don’t get the help that they need.

When not working, I am a husband to Kate and father to 3 great children who are all growing up too quickly for my liking. I am an expert skier, an average sailor, a pretty mediocre fisherman, and am someone who enjoys a bit of gardening under the close supervision of my wife. Occasionally I’ll be let loose in the family kitchen, most often with only average results.

Likes: Sport (mainly skiing, sailing, fishing), my brilliant family, working to help others to achieve financial freedom.

Dislikes: Drudgery, negativity and cynicism.

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
